SUSAN Baker, APRN, CPNP-PC


Compassionate Pediatric Care with Over 20 Years of Experience

 

Susan Baker, APRN, CPNP-PC, is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of pediatric experience. She is passionate about partnering with families to provide compassionate, evidence-based care while supporting children through every stage of growth and development.



Professional Background

Susan is a native Texan who was raised throughout West Texas. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Angelo State University in 1998 before continuing her education at Texas Woman's University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2002 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2004.

 

 

Susan is nationally certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in pediatric pulmonology, seasonal allergies, conscious sedation, urology, urgent care, and primary pediatric care. While her background spans multiple pediatric specialties, she has found her true passion in primary care, where she enjoys building lasting relationships with children and their families.

Special Interests

Susan is also a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor who enjoys supporting and educating new mothers as they navigate breastfeeding. She believes that providing guidance, reassurance, and encouragement during this important stage helps families begin their parenting journey with confidence.

Her Approach to Care

Susan believes that every child deserves compassionate, individualized care in a welcoming environment. She values listening to families, answering questions, and working together to make informed healthcare decisions.

Outside the Clinic

Susan has proudly called Frisco home since 2001 and enjoys giving back to her community through volunteer work with the North Texas Food Bank, Treasured Vessels Foundation, Frisco Food Pantry, her local church, medical mission work, and numerous other local organizations.

 

 

Outside of work, Susan enjoys spending time with her husband Chris, her son Chase, her parents and siblings, and their many beloved pets. She also enjoys cooking, fishing, camping, remodeling, traveling, baking, swimming, gardening, and sharing coffee with family and friends.
